The Editor,

Now that the election is over, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who took the time to vote, all of you who supported and voted for me, all my fellow candidates and their supporters, and all the citizens who searched me out and shared with me their concerns with our city.

I congratulate Mayor Brodie for winning the election handily and wish him the best in running the city for the next three years.

I read the media coverage of Mayor Brodie's visit with some Saba Road residents on Wednesday, Nov. 16. (This was not reported by any English language media.)

Mayor Brodie confirmed that he has recently found a zero-bus solution (meaning no buses will run on Saba Road (near No. 3 Road).

The details will be worked out between our city and TransLink on Nov. 24 and the solution will be effective in two months time.

On behalf of some of the Saba Road residents that have sought me out with this terrible problem, I wish to thank Mayor Brodie for having solved their life-wrecking problem in such a timely fashion.

Richard Lee

Mayoral candidate, Richmond 2011
