The Editor,

I am writing to see if anyone is able to help me with an inquiry.

My name is Mr. Chris Garnett, and I live in a small cottage in a village in the heart of Lincolnshire, England.

My mother-in-law, Mrs. Cicily Stafford, lives in a town called Chapel-en-le-frith in the High Peak of Derbyshire, England.

Fifty-three years ago, Mrs. Stafford was in a maternity ward at the Corba Hospital in Buxton, Derbyshire.

She made a long lasting friendship with another lady who was there having a child.

The lady was called Mrs. Lily Jones.

After a few years, Lily moved to Canada where they still corresponded on a regular basis through letters and cards.

In August of this year, Cicily received the 2011 Christmas card which had been returned, unopened.

Mrs. Stafford tried telephoning Lily, only to get a disconnected tone. She may have been known as Lily or Lillian Jones.

I wondered if anyone knew what had happened to Lily or even if she had died?

She lived at 6271 Minoru Blvd., Richmond.

She had three daughters that lived close by.

I think that Lily may have lived in sheltered accommodation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated or any information as to what happened to this dear lady would be gratefully received.

My mother-in-law is upset not knowing what has happened to her friend after all these years.

Lily would be near or in her 80s.
