On behalf of the Shady Isle Pirates, thank you to the City of Richmond for inviting us to be a part of the 2012 Ship-to-Shore event.
It was really great to see our mini-brigs, the Adventure and Liberte part of an on-thewater event in our own community.
It was a lot of work for our crews to have the boats both in the 67th annual Salmon Festival Parade, and at Ship-to-Shore 2012, but we enjoyed every minute.
Also a huge "HUZZAH!" and thank-you to all the volunteers. They were really great in helping get us situated and making us feel welcome on the docks.
We all look forward to being a part of future community events. To all the volunteers, keep up the good work!
