The Editor,

I just spent a few days in Richmond Hospital, and all I can say is WOW!

How lucky we are to have this amazing facility, and wonderful staff; from the paramedics who answered my 911 call to the kitchen staff who offered such tasty meals.

Within minutes of arriving in emergency, things started to happen, and everyone involved did their best to make me feel comfortable.

I was hooked up to an IV, talked with a doctor and shortly went for an X-ray.

My nurse, Joanas, an amazing and caring lady, even though very busy, kept coming in to see if I was alright. Another doctor came to say they wanted to do a CT scan if I agreed, so that was done promptly.

Back in my cubicle, I was brought some lunch, which was really good.

Later, I was told the result of the scan and that I was to be admitted. Off we went to 3 North, where once again I was welcomed with caring and smiles by both day and night staff.

I was just there a few days and am so very grateful for all the care shown me by everyone. We should all appreciate the fact that we have such a great place to go when we are sick.
