The Editor,

On Sunday, Sept. 16, my faith in humanity was renewed.

While cycling through Steveston, Gary Point Park and the West dyke, I lost my purse, containing my house keys, car keys, identification and a small amount of cash.

After retracing my route for over an hour, I returned home filled with dread - mentally preparing myself to make the necessary phone calls to my bank, credit card companies, and ICBC, etc. to cancel my accounts and begin the tedious process of replacing all of my identification.

When I opened the screen door, I found my purse (contents intact) hanging on the outside door handle of my front door - no note or explanation attached. Relief was quickly replaced with gratitude.

I hope you, my mysterious angel, are a resident of Richmond; an avid reader of The Richmond News, for I would like to extend my personal thanks for your generosity, honesty and thoughtfulness.

I appreciate the effort you took for me today and wish you a life filled with blessings and goodness!
