This is another instance of trying to silence free speech in this country.
What is it about immigrants that is so sacred that we cannot comment on the good and the bad?
I am an immigrant myself and I get outraged when I hear of immigrants taking advantage of our country, especially those who want to carry on with the criminal lifestyle they had in their old country.
What is wrong with that statement?
This situation happened in the Toronto area, so I would assume the public officials would know what they are talking about as they deal with these situations every day.
We should not be hesitant to identify the country of origin of the criminals, also.
If they are welfare cheats from the UK, say so. If they are running a marriage scam with India, say so.
If they are drug dealers from Colombia, say so.
We don't want our speech to be so sanitized that we refuse to acknowledge that we have serious crimes from home grown criminals as well as immigrants.
