Enjoy the convenience and delicious flavours of Bizou + Yukon BEE-zoo Pink Bubbles and Pinkie Rosé.

It’s summer time, and the living is easy. And thanks to the Okanagan Crush Pad’s Great Pyrenees mascots and protectors of the OCP’s ranch, Bizou + Yukon, the summer has become more convenient. Adding to their lineup of bottles and pouches, they now offer wine in distinctive blue cans.

Bizou + Yukon wines are for those who love to explore, just like their namesakes. Since the portfolio’s inception, the idea is to offer refreshing, lively, and delicious wines packaged conveniently for all kinds of adventures.

Like their “pooch pouch” bagged wine introduced two years ago, the canned wine is sustainable. It's also lightweight, fits in coolers, and is practically unbreakable. Canned wine is another great option for enjoying summer outdoors on campsites, at the beach or pool, on hikes, bikes, kayaks, and other sun-filled activities. And it's a great way to celebrate the B.C. Day long weekend!

The BEE-zoo Pink Bubbles ($32.80 pack of 4 cans, 88 points Very Good) is a lively sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir and other classic sparkling varieties grown at the Okanagan Crush Pad Summerland and Oliver vineyards. Time on the Pinot Noir skins provides a delicate pale pink hue to the wine.

There’s refreshing carbonation from those pink bubbles, which jettisons a delicate aroma with berry and tropical fruit. Mouth-watering flavours of raspberries and mango are there to enjoy with an off dry finish for you to smack your lips.

The sister wine is the Bizou + Yukon Pinkie Rosé ($32.80 pack of 4 cans, 90 points Outstanding). Like the Pink Bubbles, it’s made from Pinot Noir and other classic sparkling varieties but it has a darker orange pink colour. The nose reveals generous rose aromas together with citrus, berry, and tropical fruit

On the palate, there’s refreshing crispness and plenty of ripe strawberries, raspberries, as well as mango and pineapple flavours. The wine displays a more medium body than then Pink Bubbles and ends on a lengthier dry finish. It’s a drink, don’t think, kind of pink that’s meant for enjoying on long summer days.

Both Bizou + Yukon BEE-zoo Pink Bubbles and Yukon Pinkie Rosé are available at Everything Wine, Legacy Liquor Store and at the winery, 16576 Fosbery Rd. in Summerland.

Happy B.C. Day, everyone. And here’s to canned wine and Bizou and Yukon!
