The Editor,

I am writing to send a warning message to dog owners out there who often bring their pets to MacDonald Beach Park.

There is a rather irresponsible owner out there with a "not so friendly dog."

It happened on B.C. Day between 11: 30 a.m. and 11: 45 am.

My husband was able to give a brief description of the people and the dog who bit ours.

It must have been painful for our dog, because when he went straight into the water after being bitten, a lady started to notice he was bleeding profusely.

Other owners stopped to check and offered paper towels, etc. The owner of the dog that bit did not even bother to see if our dog was OK.

Our dog is now at the vet to have his ears stitched back together.

To the owner of the dog, I am sure you know who you are, please leash your dog to avoid more dogs being attacked by yours. This park is meant for friendly dogs.

You could at least be considerate and leash your dog.

Next time you may not be that lucky to get away with it and not to mention the vet bill that comes along with it!
