I am a 14-year-old Oval member. I have been a member since July 2009.
Since Dec. 20, 2011, with the introduction of the new Oval parking system, my parking permit was no longer of use.
According to the new parking regulation, only a member 16 or older is allowed free parking.
I think it's completely unfair for a member younger than 16. The young members need to get to the Oval with their parents or guardians, so they deserve free parking in the Oval.
Otherwise, they have to spend more on a membership fee plus parking.
I'm wondering is the Oval still welcoming young members?
I request a free parking permit, the same as the one a 16-year-old has. I'm so sad the 16-year-old members and their relatives can stay in the Oval to watch their games or activities, while my parents have to pay extra to watch me playing a game just because I am not old enough.
I would like to keep my membership with Richmond Oval, but if I can't have the same parking permit as the adults, I will have my membership cancelled.
I hope the City Of Richmond and the Oval will reconsider their parking regulation and give the equal benefit of free parking to members of all ages.
