Two arrested after shooting downtown Toronto: police

TORONTO — Toronto police say they’ve arrested two men in connection to a shooting. Police say they responded to a call about gunshots in the are of John Street and Adelaide Street West on Saturday at 10:34 p.m.

Police say they responded to a call about gunshots in the are of John Street and Adelaide Street West on Saturday at 10:34 p.m.

They say officers that arrived on the scene located a 36-year-old man who had been shot.

They say the man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say they located two male suspects shortly after and charged a 26-year-old Mississauga man with aggravated assault and firearms charges and a 22-year-old-Toronto man for firearms charges.

Both men were scheduled to appear in court Sunday morning.
