“In a year of unprecedented challenge and change, the City of Richmond congratulates the graduates of 2020,” said Mayor Malcolm Brodie.

“We hope that adding these commemorative backdrops in some of our city’s most beautiful parks will help to create family memories that last a lifetime.”

The signs are also part of the city’s #RichmondHasHeart campaign that has been providing ways to bring the community together during COVID-19.

Grads are reminded to follow public health guidelines while taking photos such as maintaining a safe physical distance and avoiding groups of more than six people at a time.
