A bus loaded with dozens of delegates from over 20 countries stopped at PriceSmart in Richmond today.

Welcomed by a traditional Chinese lion dance, the delegates were in Richmond and Vancouver as part of the Consumer Goods Forum Global Summit, which is a flagship event providing retailers and manufacturers from all over the world to discuss future business trends.

The delegates are getting glimpses of different supermarkets across the Lower Mainland, PriceSmart on Ackroyd Road – which is divided into Asian and Western products – being one of them.

A representative from the store took delegates on a food tour, offering them opportunities to try food samples, ranging from egg tarts to Japanese drinks.

The delegates came from Europe, the United States and Asia for the summit, currently taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre, from June 11 to 14.

Delegates will also visit other supermarkets, including Save-on-Foods, T&T and Choices Markets.
