Police ask for dashcam footage connected to Richmond shooting

Mounties investigating Tuesday’s shooting in Richmond are asking anyone who drove over the Knight Street Bridge at the time to check for dashcam footage. A 25-year-old man was shot at a training facility on Mitchell Island around 9 a.m.

Mounties investigating Tuesday’s shooting in Richmond are asking anyone who drove over the Knight Street Bridge at the time to check for dashcam footage.

A 25-year-old man was shot at a training facility on Mitchell Island around 9 a.m. that day and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He’s now in a stable condition.

Shortly afterwards, a vehicle fire was discovered near No. 7 Road and Westminster Highway. While investigators believe the two incidents may be associated, no definite determinations can yet be made.

If you were travelling across the Knight Street Bridge between 8:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12 and have dashcam or other video footage, the police want to hear from you.
