One thing that Richmond is not short on is expensive cars, but Porsche fans and owners can visit a new design-based pop-up store which is the first retail outlet in the world to showcase the new Porsche Now design concept introduced by Porsche AG.

The store, located underneath Aberdeen Square, is also the only location in Canada to offer exclusive Porsche brand products like sportswear and fashion, timepieces, eyewear, electronics, bags and luggage.

Customers can build their own Porsche “based on their individual bespoke preferences,” in the store’s configuration lounge, according to a press release.

The “design centre,” as Porsche refers to the showroom, also hosts a Porsche Augmented Reality (AR) visualizer as well as 3D mapping and interactive projection technology.

“We’re driven by the desire to fuel Porsche passion by exceeding our customers’ expectations with an extraordinary and memorable Porsche experience in and outside of our dealerships,” said Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group, in a media release.

Ajay Dilawri, president of Dilawri Group of Companies, said in the release they are “very excited to represent the Porsche brand in the Richmond market under the new Porsche Now concept.”

The pop-up store is open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 8060 Cambie Road in Richmond.
