Update 3 p.m. Nov. 26, 2018: Due to the GM plant closing in Oshawa, Minister Navdeep Bains is no longer able to travel to B.C.. In his place at this event will be Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Marco Mendicino, Member of Parliament for Eglinton–Lawrence.

The federal minister of innovation, science and economic development is scheduled to speak at Richmond’s Kwantlen Polytechnic University this week, as part of a conversation on Canadian businesses and economic growth.

Minister Navdeep Bains is heading to KPU on Tuesday in partnership with the Richmond Chamber of Commerce's Women's Leadership Circle.

Bains is expected to highlight Canada's strong economic position and the federal government’s plan to ensure women play a leadership role in fostering long-term growth and job creation in Canada.

Tickets are free, but reservations are required.
