Abbotsford Canucks fail to score on power play, lose close 2-1 contest to Heat

STOCKTON, Calif. — The Abbotsford Canucks were dealt their fourth regulation loss of their inaugural American Hockey League season Saturday following a 2-1 defeat to the Stockton Heat.

Eetu Tuulola and Matthew Phillips, on the power play, scored 39 seconds apart in the second period for the Heat (7-0-1) to take a 2-1 lead.

Sheldon Rempal, from Sheldon Dries and Jack Rathbone, put Abbotsford (3-4-2) in front 1-0 at 5:15 of the first period. 

Arturs Silovs made 19 saves for the Canucks, which went 0 for 5 with the man advantage.

Abbotsford outshot Stockton 26-21.
