MVA snarls traffic near Tsawwassen ferry terminal

A three-vehicle crash has snarled traffic Monday morning near the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.

According to Delta police, drivers can expect significant delays on Highway 17 approaching and departing the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.

The collision was near Tsatsu Shores.

DPD spokesperson Cris Leykauf said one person was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

There is one lane alternating in each direction as police investigate and work to clear the scene.

According to BC Ferries, The Spirit of Vancouver Island is holding in the dock and passengers will be kept on the vessel until the scene is cleared.
