Canucks, BC Lions, Whitecaps alumni take part in Richmond pickleball charity challenge next month

Funds raised at the event will benefit a charity of the winner's choice.

Some of the alumni players of BC Lions, Canucks and Whitecaps will be joining the pickleball charity challenge in Richmond on June 7.

BC Lions, Canucks and Whitecaps alumni along with professional pickleball players will be coming to Richmond for a pickleball charity challenge in June.

This includes players such as Canucks alumni Ed Hatoum and Nathan LaFayette, BC Lions' Geroy Simon and Whitecaps' Bobby Lenarduzzi and Tosaint Ricketts.

The one-day competition, which will be held at the Richmond Country Club on June 7 from 12 to 3 p.m., will raise funds for charities of the winner's choice. Charities that are being represented are: Canuck Place, Heads Up Guys, Rick's Heart Foundation and the Whitecaps Foundation.

Not only can participants watch professional athletes compete on the courts, they can also bid to play alongside their favourite celebrities.

Bidding starts online at $100 and ends on May 31.

Aside from regular tournament seat tickets, the event is also offering brunch as well as VIP tickets, which include prime parking and seating for the event.

Event tickets must be purchased in advance, with general admission tickets at $25, brunch and tournament tickets at $100 and VIP tickets at $150.
