Richmond’s star speed skaters returned from the national (west) short track championships with a clutch of medals.
The Richmond Rockets – based out of the Olympic Oval – sent a strong team of athletes to the recent Canadian Youth Short Track (West) in Selkirk, Manitoba.
Roanan Tien-Vidal won not less than four golds in the 200m, 1,500m, 3,000m points race, the 3,000m relay and, not surprisingly, was the Boys U14 Overall Champion.
Quirin Teh, meanwhile won a pair of golds in the 400 and 3,000m relay, silver in the 3,000m points race and bronze in the 1,500.
While Alivia Lam took silver in the 3,000m relay and Tilman Astor a bronze in the 3,000m relay.
