The team was down early by one goal made by the Falcons, but they came back with four by Sera Akizuki, Zinnia Lin, Quinn Cyr and a second by Akizuki, which goals were assisted by Adelise Cyr, Dani Kay and Makenzie Lenahan.

There was solid defensive play by Nava David, Reese Sangha and Peyton Burns, Lila Broderick and Jesse Ridgewell, complemented by strong forechecking from Adrianna Jeske, Amaya Hernandez and Nadia Lundie held the Falcons to one additional power-play goal in the second period, explained Lau.

Goalie Charley Hicks stopped a total of 20 shots to the net during the game.

The team won the gold medal and champion title with the third-period goal by Hana Nishi, assisted by Sangha.
