It proved to be a productive tournament for Samantha Holmes McLuskie at the U18 National Club Soccer Championships in Fredericton, NB.

The Grade 12 McNair secondary student, who plays for Cliff Avenue FC Synergy, scored four goals in her team's final game against Nova Scotia. The performance gave her seven in total, enough to earn her the Golden Boot Award as the tournament's top scorer.

Cliff Avenue finished fifth, despite dropping just one game. The Burnaby squad earned the trip to the Maritimes by winning the Coastal "A" Cup last spring, then capturing the Provincial "A" Cup in July.
