Richmond-based Canadians out of the BCEHL playoffs

The Richmond-based U18 AAA Greater Vancouver Canadians (GVC) are out of the BCEHL playoffs, losing the series 2-1 in round two.

The team, which plays out of the Olympic Oval, actually led the series, after beating the first-placed Vancouver North East Chiefs 4-2 on Friday night.

But GVC couldn’t keep the Chiefs at bay in games two and three, going down 4-3 and 4-2 respectively.

The Canadians previously won a best-of-three series 2-1 in round one of the play-offs, with game three versus the Valley West Giants going to double overtime at the Oval last week.
