Richmond artistic swimmers win 10 golds at provincials

Pacific Wave Synchronized Swim Club (PWS) made a big splash in Nanaimo last weekend

Athletes from Richmond's Pacific Wave Synchronized Swim Club (PWS) recently brought home 12 medals from the provincial championships.

The swimmers impressed the judges last weekend in Nanaimo and won a total of 10 gold medals and two silvers.

PWS's junior free and acrobatic routine teams came out on top, as did its duets including YuHeng (Eric) Zhang and Cho Yee (Shirina) Ng for junior mixed free duet and Abereena Xu and Chiu Tung (Lucy) Zhou for free duet and tech duet in the junior category.

Solo golds went to Seray Sefayi for the senior free solo and elements categories, as well as Chiu Tung (Lucy) Zhou for junior free solo, junior tech solo and routine set. Zhou also took home a silver for the elements category.

Chloe Berretta also won silver for the junior free solo category.
