It's stops at Burnaby North and Seaquam this week for more post-season action for the Richmond Bantam Girls Volleyball champion McMath Wildcats.

After a dominant run through city play, the McMath Wildcats will be taking their season to the inaugural Grade 8 Girls Provincial Championships at Seaquam Secondary in North Delta this weekend.

Last week, the Wildcats were crowned Richmond champions with a 3-1 win over host MacNeill in the final. They had earlier gone 10-0 in regular season play, dropping just one set in the process. Playoff wins followed against Richmond High (3-0) and Cambie (3-1).

The girls also took their game beyond the city limits, capturing a Volleyball B.C. tournament last month then aging up to finish runner-up at a Grade 9 event held at Burnaby South. The only team standing in their way were Richmond Juvenile champion McRoberts.

Before their trip to Seaquam, the Wildcats will be looking to add the Vancouver and District championship today at Burnaby North.

They have been led all season by the strong attacks of Caitlin Kippan and Marina Radocaj, along with excellent defense from Madi Wong and Maya Zawislak.

The team also features: Brooklyn Sparolin,Millie Montgomery, Sydni Smithers-Lillis, Madeline Fernie, Anna Vorontsova, Abby Young, Marley Goodhew, Olivia Cox, Natasha Fahlman, Katie Flynn and Amelia Spiteri.

The girls are coached by Tanya Kippan.
