A Zellers pop-up store has opened at the Hudson’s Bay in Richmond Centre, according to a news release.

The news brought back some memories of the original store for the Friends of the Richmond Archives who posted a photo on Facebook of the original store taken around 1982.

Zellers stores closed more than a decade ago and were largely replaced by the short-lived Target Canadian experience.

This year, Zellers pop-up stores started opening inside Hudson’s Bay stores across Canada.

In B.C., there were locations in Vancouver, Surrey and Kelowna. However, pop-up stores were planned for all other Bay locations as well, according to a news release from Canadian News Wire.

While most of these original shops in the 1982 photo of Richmond Centre are gone, IHOP is still at the same location.
