Witness sought in Port Coquitlam motor vehicle incident: RCMP

Coquitlam Mounties are asking the public to help ID the woman as she may have "important details" in the investigation.

A woman who witnessed a motor vehicle incident in Port Coquitlam earlier this month may have information that could be helpful.

That's what local Mounties say, and, in wishing to speak with the witness (pictured above), are now turning to the public to help identify her.

Police responded to a motor vehicle incident at the intersection of Coast Meridan Road and Coquitlam Avenue around 1 p.m. on April 11.

It involved a black SUV and a pedestrian, said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Alexa Hodgins in a release today (April 21).

The adult female witness officers are hoping to speak with was last seen boarding a Coast Mountain bus in the area.

Surveillance images are being publicly released as a way to help Coquitlam RCMP's investigational support team, which is leading the case.

Hodgins added the woman in question "may have important details" about the motor vehicle incident.

She's described as:

  • Middle Eastern
  • Medium build
  • Dark shoulder-length hair
  • Last seen wearing....
    • Dark pants
    • Blue jacket with a hood
    • Dark running shoes with white stripes on the sides and white soles
