A warrant has been issued for a man who didn’t show up to Richmond Provincial Court for a sentencing hearing after being found guilty on 20 identity document-related charges.
Harvir Singh Dosanjh was scheduled for a sentencing hearing before Justice G. Lee on Monday afternoon. After waiting 30 minutes, Crown prosecutor John Ham asked the judge for an “unendorsed warrant” for Dosanjh.
Dosanjh, 46, stood trial for 14 counts of dealing with identity documents without a lawful excuse, two counts of possession or use of a stolen credit card and four counts of trafficking or being in possession for the purpose of trafficking of identity information.
He was found guilty on all 20 charges.
His sentencing hearing was set for June 23, 2025.
The unendorsed warrant means when he’s caught he will be held in custody until a bail hearing.
