More Richmond schools have been flagged for COVID-19 exposures by Vancouver Coastal Health.

Three schools have been added to the health authority’s school exposures webpage.

On April 22 to 23, there were exposures at Mitchell elementary and Diefenbaker elementary, according to VCH.

Meanwhile, there was an exposure at Blair elementary on April 26.

A school exposure occurs when someone with the virus is present in the school during their infectious period, according to the health authority.

However, this doesn’t mean there was transmission of the virus in the school.

School district superintendent Scott Robinson has been reiterating that there have been no known transmissions of COVID-19 in Richmond schools since September.

There have also been exposures recently at Steveston-London secondary (April 20 to 23); Blundell elementary (April 22 to 23); Hugh Boyd secondary (April 21 and April 23); Cook elementary (April 19 to 22); Gilmore elementary (April 21 to 23); Hugh McRoberts secondary (April 20 to 22); Richmond Secondary (April 19 to 20 and April 23); McKay elementary (April 19); Bridge elementary (April 14 to 16); General Currie elementary (April 16); McNair secondary (April 6 to 9, April 12 to 13, and April 16); and independent schools St. Joseph the Worker Catholic elementary (April 19) and B.C.
