The corporation swallowed up the Zellers brand last year, but had yet to reveal which Zellers locations it would be moving into across Canada.

On Thursday, Targets head office in Minneapolis issued a press release stating that the Lansdowne Centre location will be one of its new Canadian stores, with the transformation taking place in the fall of 2013.

Target plans to open 125 to 135 stores in Canada, the majority of which will open in 2013. More than $10 million will be invested to remodel each facility in order to transform Zellers into the popular Target brand.

The store will employ approximately 150-200 team members and hiring for more staff will begin in 2013.
