Updated: Missing Richmond man last spotted near Lansdowne Station

Nedunchellian Vasse Pushparaj, who was seen on Monday, May 9 walking on Westminster Highway, near the hospital, at around 7:45 p.m.

The public is being asked to help find a 64-year-old man who was last seen on May 9, 2022.

Richmond RCMP first issued the appeal on May 11, asking people to keep an eye out for Nedunchellian Vasse Pushparaj, who was last seen near Richmond Hospital.

However, police said this weekend that he was also spotted walking away from Lansdowne Canada Line Skytrain Station at 9:56 p.m. last Monday.

Pushparaj, who was reportedly “very intoxicated” at the time, is described as:

•        A South Asian man;

•        5ft 5 inches tall;

•        Of slim build;

•        With short grey hair, and brown eyes.

•        He was wearing black pants and long-sleeved red shirt at the time of his disappearance.

Pushparaj is also known to often take the Skytrain and bus to places and frequents the Richmond Marina near the Pacific Gateway Hotel and downtown Vancouver.

Police say that family members are growing concerned for his well-being.
