An incident on Elmbridge Way, between Gilbert Road and Westminster Highway, is causing traffic delays on Wednesday afternoon.
The Richmond Fire-Rescue received a call of a "small fire" in a building in the area around 2 p.m.
Tim Wilkinson, fire chief of the Richmond Fire-Rescue, said the fire has been taken care of and the case has been passed to the Richmond RCMP.
"There are no injuries that the fire department found," said Wilkinson.
According to several Twitter posts, there are firetrucks, police vehicles and ambulances at the scene.
The Richmond News has reached out to the Richmond RCMP for more details.
Elmbridge Way is currently blocked off from Hollybridge Way.
Westbound traffic on Elmbridge Way is backed up past Alderbridge Way and eastbound traffic backed up onto Westminster Highway.
Traffic is also backed up onto Hollybridge Way and affecting eastbound traffic on Lansdowne Road onto River Road and westbound traffic on Lansdowne Road past Alderbridge Way.
