Two Richmond residents were among four charged Wednesday for involvement in last year's Stanley Cup riot.

Charges against a 17-year-old young offender and 25-year-old Jamil Sunderji were formally approved by the Crown, bringing the number of Richmond residents charged in connection with the riots up to six.

Sunderji was charged with participating in the riot and with mischief over $5,000.

The 17-year-old, whose identity is protected under the Youth Justice Act, was charged with participating in the riot and mischief.

The Crown has laid 186 charges against 71 suspected rioters so far, of the 348 charges recommended against 150 suspected rioters by the VPD's Integrated Riot Investigation Team.
