A sentencing hearing for Debbie Judd, the former treasurer and chair of the Richmond Youth Soccer Association found guilty of fraud, was adjourned Wednesday until Nov. 8.
According to Judd's legal representative the delay is due to a miscommunication at probation services that resulted in pre-sentence reports not being ordered.
The delay further postpones final closure for the RYSA in a case that has dragged on from the initial RCMP investigation in January 2004 to charges being laid in 2009.
Judd pleaded guilty to stealing about $175,000 from RYSA bank accounts. In a previous statement from her lawyer Judd has indicated she is remorseful and wants to pay restitution.
