A vehicle fire broke out on Highway 99 in Delta just south of the George Massey Tunnel Tuesday afternoon, slowing traffic on the already congested part of the highway.
DriveBC alerted drivers to the fire in the southbound lanes just after 3:30 p.m.
The tractor-trailor engulfed in flames appeared to be pulled off to the side of the road, near Slough Bridge.
The fire was out by 5 p.m., according to DriveBC, but heavy delays remained due to congestion.
Heads up - A tractor trailer unit is on fire at the south end of the south bound lanes at the George Massey tunnel. Traffic is reduced to one lane in both directions. Expect delays.
