Three scheduled power outages in Richmond this week

There are a number of power outages planned for Richmond this week

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair  work from March 1 to 8.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:

Mar. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A pole replacement will affect less than five customers at:

  • 6680 No. 6 Rd.

Mar. 3 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect eight customers at:

  • 9317 to 9337 Kingsley Cres.

Mar. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A pole replacement will affect less than five customers at:

  • 5000 London Rd.
