A 17-year-old was sent to the hospital suffering from multiple stab wounds after an altercation in Port Moody Sunday night.
Police said incident occurred in the 300-block of Highland Way March 22 and investigators believe that several male suspects fled in a dark-coloured four-door sedan.
“No arrests have been made at this time,” Sgt. Brad Sheridan said in a press release Tuesday. “Investigators do not believe this was a random act.”
Emergency officials, including paramedics and firefighters, were able to stabilize the victim at the scene; he was then transported to hospital for further treatment and has since been released.
The Port Moody Police Department’s major crimes unit has taken over the investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the department at 604-461-3456.
