A Richmond-based gourmet food manufacturer's line of crackers are soaring to new
heights - literally.
Discount commercial airline WestJet announced last week that Leslie Stowe's Fine Foods Raincoast Crisps and StartWell Cookies will be served onboard as complimentary, inflight snacks.
According to the airline, passengers travelling from Toronto to Ottawa, Montreal, and New York will be served Raincoast StartWell Cookies, available in Dark Chocolate, Tart Cherry and Apricot Ginger in the morning, and the Raincoast Crisps in the afternoon.
"As a proud Canadian company, we are thrilled to work with WestJet to offer onboard guests the Raincoast StartWell Cookies and Crisps," Stowe said. "Our company has been creating and sharing delicious food from our kitchen for more than 20 years, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to share our creations with WestJet guests." The agreement builds on the success of Parisiantrained Chef Stowe's catering company which started more than 25 years ago in Vancouver and now supplies more than 4,000 stores across North America with its products. Today, production of Stowe's range of foods is done at a facility on Bridgeport Road.
