Spring officially arrived in Richmond on Tuesday, but apparently this spring comes with rain, possible thunderstorm and hail.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather alert for Metro Vancouver area. A strong Pacific cold front has been approaching the south coast which brought rain to Richmond this morning. Further inland or in higher terrains, temperatures may plummet and could bring a few centimetres of snow later over higher terrain and inland.
Environment Canada also mentioned that thunderstorms and small hail are possible later today near Vancouver Island. Friday will likely be a mix of sunny, shower, flurries, thunderstorms and small hail.
Be cautious when driving on the road, and leave yourself plenty of time travelling within Metro Vancouver.
