Wet snow might be coming to Richmond this weekend.

Environment Canada is warning of potential wet snow in Richmond tonight and Sunday morning.

A snowfall warning for Metro Vancouver, including Richmond, was issued on Saturday morning.

A low approaching the south coast and bringing wet rain tonight might lead to wet snow over higher terrain. Snow levels are expected to drop overnight.

Locations near sea level might see wet snow but accumulation will most likely happen in places 100 metres above sea level. Richmond is, on average, one metre above sea level.

Motorists are advised to adjust their driving to changing road conditions, such as slowing down, watching for tail lights ahead, and being prepared to stop in case of reduced visibility.
