Emerging fashion designers from KPU’s Wilson School of Design will be featured at Wednesday’s Designer Spotlight, a preview to B.C.’s biggest fashion show in April 19.

The preview allows students to showcase the process and research that went into their final collections, and gives them a chance to present before the annual graduate fashion show.

The event will feature 32 emerging designers, highlighting the market research, portfolios, textiles, creativity and business models behind each of the graduating designers’ collections.

Featured lines include an eco-bridal collection, technical apparel for golfers, steampunk, historical costuming, gender-fluid garments, and a lingerie line for mastectomy patients.

The preview is at 4 – 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the new Wilson School of Design Richmond campus. For more information, please visit www.kpu.ca/fashion
