Senior sent to hospital after Richmond crash

A senior was hit by a pickup truck on Friday morning.

A senior visiting Canada was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after getting hit by a car on Friday morning.

The senior was hit by a late-model domestic pickup truck near Alderbridge and Elmbridge ways on June 9 around 6:45 a.m., according to Richmond RCMP.

The driver, a 39-year-old Richmond woman, had stopped and stayed at the scene, Richmond RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dennis Hwang told the Richmond News.

Richmond RCMP’s Road Safety Unit is investigating the incident.
