Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work on May 27 and 31.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
May 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pole replacement will affect 15 customers at:
- 11040 to 11160 King Rd.
May 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 15 customers at:
- 10320 to 10511 Reynolds Dr
May 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Rescheduled from April 28)
Pole replacement will affect eight customers at:
- 9080, 9100, 9102, 9120, 9131, 9151, 9171 and 9191 No. 4 Rd.
