Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work between Sept. 6 to 13..
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
September 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 4691 Vanguard Rd.
September 8 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 81 customers at:
- 11100, 11131 No. 1 Rd.
- 4055 Regent St.
September 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect eight customers at:
- 11171 to 11260 Schooner Crt.
September 12 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 3711 Georgia St.
September 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 10591, 10600, 10611 and 10620 Anahim Dr.
