Scheduled power outages in Richmond from Sept 13 to 20

Power outages in Richmond are planned for equipment maintenance and replacement regularly.

There are a number of power outages planned for Richmond this week

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work between Sept. 13 to 20.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:

September 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 10591, 10600, 10611 and 10620 Anahim Dr.

September 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pole replacement work will affect seven customers at:

  • 10480, 10500, 10520, 10540, 10560, 10600 and 10620 Westminster Hwy

September 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 8000 River Rd.

September 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pole replacement work will affect 10 customers at:

  • 11001, 11011, 11020, 11031, 11040, 11051, 11060, 11080 and 11111 Granville Ave.

September 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pole replacement work will affect 22 customers at:

  • 12008, 12040, 12060, 12080, 12100, 12120, 12126, 12128, 12160, 12180, 12200, 1222012228, 12240, 12260, 12288, 12300, 12320, 12328, 12340 and 12360 Woodhead Rd.

September 20 from 830 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pole replacement work will affect 10 customers at:

  • 4180, 4200, 4231, 4240, 4251, 4271, 4340 Brown Rd.
  • 8480 Browngate Rd.
