Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from June 7 to 14.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
June 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 16 customers at:
- 1660 Bridgeport Rd.
- 1751 - 11831 Voyageur Way
June 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 6 customers at:
- 6431, 6440, 6451, 6460, 6471 and 6491 Mara Cres
June 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 12 customers at:
- 11200, 11211, 11220, 11231, 11240, 11251, 11271, 11280, 11291, 11300, 11311 and 11320 Merchantman Pl.
June 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 5400 No. 7 Rd.
June 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect seven customers at:
- Units 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, and 160 at14480 River Rd.
June 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 16031 River Rd.
