Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work between August 9 and 16 .
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
August 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pole replacement will affect six customers at:
- 9411, 9431, 9451, 9471 and 9491 No 5 Rd.
- 11860 King Rd.
August 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect seven customers at:
- 6391, 6411, 6380, 6400, 6420, 6431 and 6440 Nadine Cres.
August 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 62 customers at:
- 7151 to 7300 Ledway Rd.
- 7280 to 7391 Lynnwood Dr,
August 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 11 customers at:
- 11480, 11488, 11500, 11508, 11520, 11528 and 11540 Williams Rd.
- 11511, 11531 and 11551 Seabrook Cres.
August 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 22 customers at:
- 11548 to 11726 Williams Rd.
- 11571 to 11751 Seabrook Cres
August 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect seven customers at:
- 9091, 9093, 9097, 9099, 9131, 9135 and 9160 Steveston Hwy
