Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work between August 16 and 30.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
August 24 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 100 customers at:
- 4200 and 4206 Garry St.
August 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pole replacement work will affect 74 customers at:
- 2631, 2633 and 2639 Viking Way
August 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 6531 to 6591 Swift Ave.
August 25 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 24 customers at:
- 12420 No. 1 Rd.
August 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 12540 Westminster Hwy
August 26 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 29 customers at:
- 4460 (1-28) Garry St.
August 27 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Pole replacement work will affect seven customers at:
- 3791 Bayview St.
August 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 2540 No. 5 Road,
August 30 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 24 customers at:
- 2800 and 2866 Bayview St.
August 30 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 2960 Chatham St.
August 30 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. August 31
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
