Scheduled power outages in Richmond for Jan. 11 to 18

Several neighbourhoods will be out of power for scheduled maintenance and equipment replacements this week.

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from Jan.11 to 18.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming weeks:

Jan. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect seven customers at:

  • 9780 Haddon Dr.
  • 9473, 9474. 9475, 7376, 9478 and 9480 Thomas Dr.

Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Rescheduled from Nov. 20)

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 50 customers at:

  • 6679, 6680, 6691, 6699, 6711, 6719, 6720, 6731, 6739, 6740, 6751, 6759 and 6760 Azure Rd.
  • 6031 to 6460 Nadine Cres.

Jan. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A transformer replacement will affect 18 customers at:

  • 6246 and 6248 Tiffany Blvd.
  • 6244, 6246, 6248, 6253, 6255, 6257, 6259, 6260, 6262, 6264, 6266, 6268, 6271, 6273, 6275 and 6277 Jade Crt

Jan. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

A transformer replacement  will affect 12 customers at:

  • 10600, 10611, 10620, 10631, 10640, 10651, 10660, 10671, 10680 and 10691 Bissett Dr.
  • 9031 and 9111 Arrowsmith Dr.

Jan. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A transformer replacement will affect 19 customers at:

  • 4270, 4291, 4300, 4311, 4320, 4331, 4340, 4351, 4360, 4371, 4380, 4391, 4400, 4411, 4420, 4431, 4440 and 4479 Colchester Dr.
  •  4251 Coventry Dr.

Jan. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Rescheduled from Dec. 1)

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 18 customers at:

  • 9180, 9191, 9211, 9231, 9251, 9271, 9280, 9291, 9300, 9311, 9320 and 9331 Glenbrook Dr.
  • 9011, 9031, 9051, 9091, 9111 and 9120 Glenbrook Crt.

Jan. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to  4:30 p.m. (Rescheduled from Dec. 22)

A pole replacement will affect seven 5 customers at:

  • 7831, 7851,7891,7791,7771,7811 and 7871 Sunnymede Cres.

Jan. 15 from 9 a.m. to Jan. 16  8 p.m. (36-hour outage)

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 23 customers at:

  • 4600 and 4711 Jacombs Rd.
  • 13040, 13080, 13240, 13248 and 13268 Worster Crt.

Jan. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

A pole replacement will affect 51 customers at:

  • 8051 Ash St.

Jan. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 34 customers at:

  • 7740 Abercrombie Dr.
