A roofing company was fined for a high-risk violation in Richmond.

A roofing company was fined $4,003.66 for exposing its workers to fall risk at a Richmond worksite.

WorkSafeBC found four workers re-roofing a house with "no form of fall protection" in place during an inspection.

Samra Bros. Roofing Ltd., their employer, had failed to ensure fall protection was used and exposed workers to a fall risk of up to 4.6 metres, said WorkSafeBC.

The regulator added it was a "repeated and high-risk violation" and imposed the fine in September 2023.
