The Ukrainian community in Richmond is hosting a special Friday night, take-out supper to raise funds for the humanitarian crisis in its motherland.

On Friday, April 8, the Ivan Franko Ukrainian Society, at 5311 Francis Road, is putting on the dinner between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The net proceeds will go towards Humanitarian Relief for Ukraine, as the country continues to fight off the invasion from Russia, which started more than a month ago and continues to drive more than a million people from its country.

The society will have a delicious set menu of traditional Ukrainian cuisine for take-out only for a minimum donation of $20.

The likes of homemade perogies, cabbage rolls, Ukrainian sausage and dessert will be on offer.
